Product Details
- Product Description

Product Introduction
The temperature‑type input safety barrier isolates and converts thermocouples and resistance temperature detectors from the hazardous area into current signals for output to the safe area, featuring cold‑junction compensation. This product requires an independent power supply and provides three‑terminal isolation between the input, output, and power circuits. It includes built‑in online fault self‑diagnosis and allows configuration—via a PC or a handheld programmer—of the temperature range, signal type, and output mode in case of signal failure.
Technical Specifications
- Power Supply: 18 VDC to 32 VDC, with reverse polarity protection.
- Operating power consumption: 1.3 W
- Input signals: thermocouples such as K, E, S, B, J, T, R, and N; resistance temperature detectors (RTDs) such as Pt100, Cu100, Cu50, BA1, and BA2.
- Lead resistance: ≤20 Ω per lead (for resistance thermometers)
- Output signal: 4–20 mA
- Permissible load: Active: RL ≤ 550 Ω; Passive: RL ≤ [(U − 3) / 0.02] Ω; where U is the loop supply voltage.
- Compensation accuracy: 1°C (compensation temperature range: -20°C to +60°C)
- Temperature Drift: 40 ppm/°C
- Response time: ≤500 ms
- Electromagnetic Compatibility: IEC 61326-3-1
- Dielectric strength: ≥2500 VAC (between intrinsically safe side and non‑intrinsically safe side); ≥1500 VAC (between power supply and non‑intrinsically safe side)
- Insulation resistance: ≥100 MΩ (input/output/power supply)
- Operating temperature: -20°C to +60°C
- Storage temperature: -40°C to +80°C
- Dimensions: 17.7 mm wide × 110 mm high × 118.9 mm deep
- Output status: Unless otherwise specified by the user, the output will track changes in the input signal across the full‑scale range, regardless of any fault conditions in the input. (Exception: when the 4–20 mA line is open, the output will be 0 V or 0 mA.) However, the output shall not exceed 110% of the upper limit of the output range. For example, with a 0–20 mA output, the minimum output may be 0 mA, and the maximum shall not exceed 22 mA.
- Application: Installed in hazardous areas, it can be connected to intrinsically safe equipment in Zones 0, 1, and 2; for gas groups IIA, IIB, and IIC; and for temperature classes T1 through T6.
